Okay, stories and poems!
Any short story (short, please, I need to read them all) or poem is acceptable but it has to start with this sentence..."The night was blacker than most." Good luck!
No screenplays,books, or chapters, please..screenplays because I have a hard time reading them w/o watching them acted out, and books because they're too long and chapters because I'd have to read the whole book to understand them...sorry.
