From August 22 to 28, all West Virginia Poets are invited to write a Waltz Wave.
Ok West Virginia Poets!

Our first official Friday Morning Prompt is (one of my favorites�
Waltz Wave.

This form was named for Leo Waltz, who is the Web Manager of Sol Magazine.

The form is a one-stanza poem with a Title. It must have nineteen (19) lines with a set number of syllables.
The nineteen line stanza must use the following pattern (number of syllables):

1, 2, 1, 2, 3, 2, 1, 2, 3, 4, 3, 2, 1, 2, 3, 2, 1, 2, 1

Words may be split into syllables to fit the pattern. This form normally chooses a peaceful subject or one that is soothing to compliment the gentle ebb and flow of the lines.

It is a very enjoyable form and you are welcome to offer 1-5 submissions using this form. The winners will be announced next Thursday night: August 28. 2008 EST.
