Western story   January 30, 2017 - March 3, 2017

Reading and Deliberating

Details

Western stories are something I do not see enough of these days. So much possibilities lie in that genre; there are many settings you could choose from, from the obvious dry desert of Texas, to cold, harsh mountains of Colorado. Bandits, cowboys, mercenaries are just a few of the ideas for characters; you can also go with something more uncommon, such as a regular immigrant making their way trough the borderlands, or perhaps a shop owner trying to make it in a small, uncivilized town with bandit problem.

I will read all the stories personally and will choose three winners who will get a review from me and bragging rights.
Unfortunately, I myself am struggling with money and I cannot give you any sums of money. But getting more experience is always worth more than money.

Rules:
1.) At least 500 words. While longer stories are preferred, I will look at each story with objectivity. Some stories just work better short.
2.) You can submit 2 stories at tops. I will however pick only one story per person.

Prizes

Bragging rights, review, experience. Also, if you weren't one of the three top stories, there will also be seven honorable mentions. These honorable mentions are NOT listed in any particular order.
