For this contest, I will provide ten quotes, from which you will pick ONE and write a 1,000 word story on it. All genres are accepted, and they have to be in prose, not poetic, format. There will be three winners at the end.

To be judged, you MUST PUT THE PROMPT NUMBER IN THE TITLE. This is so I know what quote your story is based on. If the prompt number is not in your title YOUR STORY WILL BE IMMEDIATELY REJECTED!

I'm sorry if this comes off as rude, I just don't want to automatically reject a story that you worked hard on to write just because the prompt number wasn't in the title. To make it easier on myself and make your chances of winning better, just put the prompt number in the title. Simply doing "(Prompt 1) Title" is perfectly fine.

To also better your chances of winning, put the quote you're basing your story off of at the beginning of your story.
