Early ReaderA Lesson by The Old Ashes Why it counts First, how do you even earn your early reader status? To earn your early reader status, you must meet the following: a. You must be an approved added member of The Novelists Elite. b. You must have your Elite Information, found on the thread ".elite.info." To earn early reader, you visit a novel located under the group's writing section. A novel, any novel. You review two chapters of the novel, this could mean Prologue &1, or 1&2.. etc, and you paste your Novelists Elite Info to each review. Why though? Why only two reviews? The early reader status is a way to make you put some effort into us before we take your writing on to the group. If you are able to just join and submit your novels effortlessly, we'll have members ghosting around with writing floating in our writing section. The early reader status shows us your initiative toward the group, a little pre-test in a sense that shows us you're willing to put some effort forth before we take your book on. At elite, we treat each novel as something important and meaningful. When it appears in the writing section, the whole group knows and hopefully: a door has been opened for you to receive reviews. This is a very big reward, and one that we aren't going to toss at new members without second thoughts. We want your books in the group, your writing: but first, show us you are going to put forth the first step. The early reader status is a way for you to begin your journey with our family. Yes, it's only two required reviews and perhaps more should be required. Don't just laze around, two reviews that's all. Leaving more reviews rests upon your shoulders, early reader is a way to get started with that. It is required that you earn the status of early reader before you can.. a. enter group contests b. submit writing among countless other group activities.
