Go with the flow!

Go with the flow!

Trains of thought...........

"

Going with the flowing is a big part of writing haikus. My strategy is to think up something, say, trains, to have my first line revolve around that, and go from there. For example....

1st line: Trains of thought whirr by

Then, when you are satisfied with your first line, begin writing your second. Make it describe what is going on because it is the longest line.

1st line: Trains of thought whirr by
2nd line: Steaming into the blue sky

Finally, you end the stanza with a closing piece; something that will more or less sum it up without blatantly going "The end".

1st line: Trains of thought whirr by
2nd line: Steaming into the blue sky
3rd line: Tracks into my head

I hope you have found a new way to write haikus and stay tuned for the next lesson! I'll have it by Wednesday!
