Unwinding

Unwinding

A Lesson by Chloe
"

Ways to make your haikus better? CALM. YOUR. BUTT. DOWN.

"

Haikus are so stressful to write! Not. Haikus are supposed to be easygoing, in other words, not too concerned about the wording. Now, don't take this the wrong way. I'm not saying don't care about your writing. That is the wrong way to look at this lesson. What I am trying to say is don't take it as if it is a matter of life and death. You'll get better, even if you think you won't. Just follow these steps:

Before writing a poem:
1.Unwind. Take a bath. Ride your bike. Sit. Sleep. Watch T.V. Anything that helps you unwind.

2.Do some writing exercises. My favorite one is to set a timer for 1 to 5 minutes and write the best piece you can in that time frame.

During writing:
1:Don't think. Just write.

2:Keep with the general idea without going too crazy.

3: For the love of God, PLEASE remember to edit.

I hope you enjoyed this lesson, I will have a new one out in a few days!!! Bye!

@haymaker14 I had that in my last lesson. Not that exact wording, but I did. Thanks. :)

I think you should add to just write a three line poem and then transfer it to a Haiku. Well, that's my favorite way
