Poetry Option 6

A Lesson by Jodi Eaton

Write a poem about a first time, trying to make the reader feel how you felt that first time.

Option 6

First Kiss

Sweaty palms,

racing heart,

dark surrounded me,

leaned against the side of my house,

he moved my jacket,

one hand

to my hip,

to pull me closer,

the other hand

to my face,

to steady my shaking,

anxiety filled me,

he pulled nearer,

it was over,

my first kiss.
