For DIY Line Editing & Proofreading: Get FREE or Low Cost software to help:

Grammarly add-in for Microsoft Word is free and very useful. But it is NOT always right, so don't just accept all it's changes

Hemingway is a free tool, and worth a look.  It has some very useful features

SmartEdit add-in for Microsoft Word is not free but relatively low cost and very easy to use with good features

If you run your draft through all three of these you will catch a lot of little errors or find suggestions to improve your word choice.

and when you are looking for an alternative word to replace one you have used too much...

.......................................

Note: getting someone else always really helps, but these are my FREE and on a low budget tips..... These are for Stories and Books (not poetry)

About
I read mostly fantasy and sci-fi, but as an author I write mostly Adult Romance / Erotica fiction. I enjoy reading poetry which touches my heart, but I'm not a poet, so don't expect me to critique ..
