When I'm line editing and proofreading myself:

Once I have used the software tools mentioned in lesson #1

I format it for Kindle and then send the word doc to my Kindle email address.  I find I spot lots of little things that I missed either on screen or paper, and I can annotate on my Kindle for correcting later.  

It is also a good way to see what it looks like on an e-reader as well.

Note: getting someone else always really helps, but these are my FREE and low budget tips..... These are for Stories and Books (not poetry)
