Lesson One : {Setting the Tone}

Lesson One : {Setting the Tone}

A Lesson by scribbler

Find out what the tone of the rest of your story is going to be.

The first thing that you need to do when you are writing a book (besides pre-writing, for more information just contact me I will be happy to go more in-depth about good prewriting) is figure out the tone of your book.

Is your story going to be able how people can come together? Is it going to be about how you can overcome something? What ever you want to achieve at the end of you story should have something to do with the beginning.

Here are some examples...

1) This first examples comes from writing of my own.

"I watched as my kingdom burned to the ground. I could hear the screams of horror from the people wishing to live. I had done this. This was completely my fault. I thought that I was doing the right thing. I thought I was helping. But they brain washed me. But because of my selfishness, I had destroyed my own kingdom.

-This shows how the main character had felt and shows more about the ending.
