How to get started

A Lesson by Cassie

Easy ways to get started on writing better poetry

Here's a few things I did to help me get better:

-I gave myself a time limit (most meaningful poetry takes around 5 minutes)
-I gave myself a daily topic (It helped me test what genres I'm good at)
-Write short stories (I find that short stories are like poetry)
-Read others poetry!!! (This is very important!)

So I guess you don't consider any long poems with meter and rhyme to be "meaningful." Why not?
