now that we have gotten this far, let's see the first step in making your story/book different!

STEP ONE!

ok. when reading a story, what are some of the most predictable things we have seen?

OH MY GOSH! the world's ending!

aww! this boy doesnt like me!

i have a crush from afar *sigh*.

i'm being picked on in school!

aliens are coming!

i'm moving and i won't fit in!

now, while most of these things maybe relatable, that doesn't mean that every single book in the world should be related to this. people that read want something new and exciting. which is why, when writing a story, think of something no one has done before. now, that doesnt mean go google "things no one has written before" because chances are, everything that's on there, has been done before. you want something new and exciting! and, copying movies but giving the plot a little twist, is not the same thing. like, Copying Vampires Suck but changing something in it, is not right. that is called Plagerism, my dear children. you've still taken credit for someone's work, and that's illegal.
