first thing you must do is live!!

i know it can sound very funny, but the first thing a writer must do in order to actually write something on a page is live! You will never be able to write something, or at least something good if you stay at home, in your little world. You need to open your horizons in order to expand your writing skills, you must see the world, talk to people, learn new cultural ways. ADVENTURE!!
In order to be able to write, especially fiction, you must learn about the world and not from a stack of books but from your own eyes, ears, hands and feet. 
Another thing that can really get you going is talking to people, reading books or watching movies. Those things can really expand your imagination and get you to see things differently.
