What is a Limerick?A Lesson by haymaker14What a Limerick is.A Limerick is known to be the hardest of poems to most writers. If this is the case for you, HANG ON TIGHT! Just Kidding! They are actually quite easy, but I will explain how to do that in another lesson. Our question today is What Is A Limerick??? Well, a Limerick is really just a funny poem made of five stanzas. The first two sentences have the same amount of words and the last words rhyme. The next two sentences are usually shorter then the first two, but still have the same amount of words. The last words still rhyme. Then the very last sentence is any amount of words. The last word rhymes with the first stet of stanzas. Here is an example: There once was a chef named Maurice he always used way too much grease his chicken was fine his fries were divine but his dinners would me obese! Comments |
