First, I always start with a character. That may seem out of order, but not to me. When you have a great character (or more! :D), it's always better to create a story around him/her.

So start with a character chart!

Name: Bianca gives a snappy vibe. Melody gives a soft and caring vibe. Combination is great :) (Now we have 2 main characters.)

Ages: Depends on the type of story. If it's murder or, (how to be politically correct?? Lol. "erotica."), I would say around 25-33. if they solve a crime, 16 isn't a bad age.

Personality: In the names.

Actions: Bianca; flirty, naughty. Melody; caring, noble.
