Write about a character whose imagination is restricted by some greater authority.

If you're having trouble with this one, here's my idea:

An oppressive government in the not-to-distant future rises to power. In order to promote efficiency, they pass laws that discourage creative-minded people (such as artists and writers). You were born several generations since this catalyst, and you've always found yourself drawn to a specific artistic medium. What artistic medium? A pen and paper for drawing, or writing? Playing pretend? Something else? ...What happens to you? Are you discovered? What do they do to you? Do you meet an underground society of people just like you?
