Freewriting is a technique used before writing a story or poem to unleash your thoughts. This is where you do not have to worry about grammatical errors or if it makes sense. The above image was taken from this website: http://foreverwhere.com/write-on-writing-workshop/
Step 1: Start with a blank screen or piece of paper.
Step 2: Write down the first word that comes to your mind.
Step 3: Set your stopwatch or timer for 5 minutes.
Step 4: Write down phrases and words that associate with the word you selected in Step 2.
steak on the grill
Step 5: Select at least 5 words that stuck with you the most.
2. Calico cat
Step 6: Write a 5-10 sentence story about the 5 words you selected.
Please Note that I will be submitting the story response on WritersCafe for others to read. I will be working on it after I send you a message to fill out the first 5 steps.
Thank you for participating in this Lesson! Have fun!
