Hi, I'm Carissa. I'm 18 years old and doing performance and journalism at uni. I love to write, it is the only place where I can truely express myself without feeling...judged i guess. People are always so quick to stereotype other people, and in writing I don't beleive that there can be stereotypes. Everyone has their own unique flavour that comes through in what they write, whether it be poetry, story or article, and I find this amazing. I mainly write songs, and my lyrics provide an insight into my soul that I don't often let others see. They are my emotive outlet, sometimes the only thing that keeps me sane. What I write reflects my mood at the time I write it, and I most often write songs when I'm not in a particularly good mood, so if they seem a little dark...I'm not overly negative or anything like that. I like to look on the bright side of life, but sometimes life gets too overwhelmingly sad to look happy, so I write songs so I can rid myself of this sad feeling. I am obsessed with the arts. Drama, languages, painting, drawing, music, etc, etc...I love it all. Anyway, I post my songs on here for feedback, so if you happen to stumble upon my profile, pls pls pls review something. I like to know what others think of my lyrics, as I want to improve and maybe record some songs one day, so feedback is really important to me.
