Although I consider myself a person of modest capabilities, and leaving school with no academic qualifications reflected this. I have always enjoyed writing, writing for me is the ultimate form of self expression, being the sort of person who could tell a good story, it seems a natural progression to turn story telling into writing stories. Poetry to my mind is a way of writing a story in a different way, not only literal but a inviting visual expression that jumps and skips to beat across the page.
During the 70s I had my first poems published in the book `Trilogy` edited by Peter Issac.
Now retired, my partner and I have relocated to the Charente Maritime in France, where we live in a small village 20 kls north of Cognac.
During the long winter of 2009 I wrote my first novel which was published in the early part of 2011, and with another book due to be released some time next year.
I am at the moment co-producing a book of poems with my friend, photographer and artist Nik Mather.
