About Me

For the past 17 years I worked for Expo Design Center. On January 26, 2009 The Home Depot closed the Expo Division and I suddenly found myself out of a job. I've taken this opportunity to pursue my lifelong ambition by becoming a published author. My book THE SANDMAN went live on February 27, 2009. It can be purchased in hard or soft cover at Mysterious Galaxy Books, 7051 Clairemont Mesa Blvd. Ste 302, SD CA 92111 or on their website www.mystgalaxy.com. I have my first booksigning scheduled for April 18 Saturday at 2:00 PM at their store. If any of you live in San Diego I hope you can be there.
A lot of people have asked what I'll be doing with Expo closed, and this is it! I'd like to invite all of you who enjoy reading thriller/suspense/action genre novels to my website www.DavidLuceroSandman.com where you can see reviews and book content for THE SANDMAN by David Lucero.
I've also started a group on Writerscafe.org and it's called Writers Are Us. In this group I invite people to share experiences in order to help us write, publish, and promote our work. If you're interested in that you can consider yourself invited.

David, put on a snappy outfit, a very big smile and act like you are enjoying each person that shows ups conversation..Never act like you are above someone just because you are setting there ...perhaps where they wish they could be. I pray all goes well and the book sells..God bless..Valentine

Good news, my friends! I'm close to clinching a deal with a local bookstore to arranging my first book signing event. As I learn more about the trade I realize big bookstores are a bit picky. They feel more comfortable with established names. Which isn't to say I won't be able to slide into a Borders, Barnes&Noble, etc., but we all have to start somewhere. My target date is slated for April 18 2PM. I'm waiting for the contracts to be presented so we can finalize it. My press release was approved and should come out in the next 2 weeks.
