Thank you for the kind review my friend. Yes, Wolfe was distractingly descriptive (almost to the point of a rabbit chase) I read Look Homeward Angel quite a few years ago but its one of those books that tends to stick with you like Wuthering Heights or A River Runs Through It.

Dear papaed, morality in politics seems to have been gone for quite some time. One always hopes, however, that it will return. Now I'm not sure what your politics are, but independent of that, I think we all wish for greater morality, openness, understanding, and peace. Let's hope that our leadership will reflect this. I hope that our current our leadership will be so. I had great hopes for this with our new administration since our current president was young and hadn't been in government so long as to become too tarnished. I worried for the same reason. He was untested. Was he up to the job? Could he resist the temptations? Would he be wise enough to see the obstacles in his way, step over them and move constructively forward? I think we're seeing the first of these problems. I'm not surprised, but I'm still hopeful. Whatever our politics, our leadership is what has been voted into power. Many of us fear the worst. We should all hope for the best.
