Outdoorsman, poet and writer of fiction.
I am new to this group, but have been doing this thing for quite some time.
I really enjoy reading other poets' and writers' work because reviewing their efforts helps me to review my own. Believe me, you can make an entire career out of critiquing your own work. Besides, constructive criticism only helps you forge your craft.
I interned as the Managing Editor for a literary magazine I helped create while in college after spending a semester at Oxford. It was during this time in my life that I decided to be a starving poet.
I am big on symbols, metaphor and the natural world parallelling the human condition.
"Compass" is a book of my poetry currently in production at Outskirts Press and due out in April 2012.
