Forum Agents Synopsis help for agent queries

I find that writing a succinct less than 100 word synopsis as part of a pitch to an agent or publisher is much different than the writing of the book itself.  I've been trying several variations, including some very short (<25 words hollywood tagline style).  I'd love to get some opinions on what other people think. 

If any single one is particularly good or bad, please let me know.

Flying through the clouds on the backs of giant airwhales, a young man is constantly on the move to avoid a pressing darkness.  His dark dreams have always kept him alone, but now he finds himself desired by opposing groups.  The Cytech inventors guild wants his one-of-a-kind firearm, and a group of powerful Mystics, hindered by their own infighting, seems to want him outright dead.  As Trede attempts to find the reason for his own affliction, he finds closer friends than he could have imagined and realizes his own place in a much greater conflict.

A broken world is struggling to survive.  Hidden in shadows, powerful mystics strive to undermine each other in search of The Well, an ancient altar thought to be the source of all of life's energy.  A lone traveler cursed by a dark affliction, finds himself in the middle of this conflict.  How can life prevail?

The Cytech inventors guild has just inducted their latest member, though they may have gotten more than they realized.  While Trede’s one-of-a-kind firearm is impressive, he harbors a secret curse that will make sure no one nearby is safe whenever he falls asleep. 

A young man with a dark curse finds himself caught in a conflict over The Well, a mystical spring of all life’s energy.

Cursed by violent, dark dreams his entire life, Trede has always been on the move to avoid hurting anyone he cared about.  Until one day he finds himself accosted by a strange and powerful Mystic who attempts to take his life.  Soon after, he receives a rare invitation to join the Cytech Inventors Guild.  What is a young man to do?  Risk the lives of his new found friends in the guild, or give up his own life to the violent Mystics chasing after him?  One thing is for sure, there are much greater forces at play than he ever realized.
