Was bored this morning so I created a little 'Live Feed' which displays what's happening on WritersCafe.org as it's happening.  Check it out here:

Let me know what you think of it. Should we remove some kinds of notices (writing entered in a contest, writing featured by the author, etc), should we add more notices to the feed?  Should we try and integrate it with your own personal newsfeed?  Any ideas you have are always appreciated.

You should probably add a direct link to it from the homepage. If it's already there, I can't see it.

I really liked this, perhaps scrap the other feeds altoghter and have the live feed as the main feed on the page tho.. as surely people would rather have a constantly updating feed rather than a possible page filled with activity from weeks ago x

I joined yesteray and have no idea how to access other people's writing in order to make comments, or how to acces my, for that matter, can you help me? Natalie

COOOOOOOOL! I love it!!

Practically speaking, I am not really interested in seeing the activity of writers who I do not even know. Also, as I watched your example, I saw one writer manically entering contests. I also enter contests frequently, but I cannot imagine that anyone wants constant up to the minute updates on what contests I have entered.

I think some controls are in order. Allow me to select subscribed writers only, friends only or everyone. Let me choose what events are significant to me and let me toggle back and forth between the current, slower paced feed and the live feed. Some people will be distracted by that constant movement. Some people like calm stillness.

HOW do I add a new post to my news feed????

I'm very frustrated that there is no body willing to give me information as to how I can participate in the "News Feed" portion of this web site. Every time I attempt to go to "News Feed" there is no idication as to where I can share my work or conversation. I would really appreciate it if somebody would explain to me how to get started in this portion of the web site.
