Referencing unnamed characters

Posted 2 Years Ago

I have the prologue of a book I am working on, in which none of the characters are named. This is intentional as I don't want their identities revealed at this point and they won't come into play again until much later. However, currently I am referring to them as "the red haired girl", "the black haired girl", etc. I need some better ideas about how to reference them with terms that make each easily identifiable, yet skip any in-depth description.

Read the prologue for Orchard of Death in my writing section for a better understanding.

Please help.

You could use nicknames, or some type of unique identifier.  This could be a tattoo, a limp etc.
