Cake batter sand dunes
on the lazy beach
with an azure sky
painted crisply above
we sail through the ocean
ever mindful of the breeze
as it fills our sails to bursting

an empty chair
beneath a lively tree
shading nothingness
from the glowing sun
where is the spectator
who watches the water
she is swimming out to greet us
as we sail on the sea.

Oh topsail skipjack, away
over the seas glassy sheen
today away, today we play,
and leave behind islands of green.

Set topsail, set main,
hoist every stitch of sheet,
leave the vain and the plain
