     I just found people who've had run ins with plagiarism on writerscafe. I am new and would really like to start posting some of my poetry, but I certainly do not won't anyone to claim my work as their own on here. I take the ownership of my writing very seriously, but at the same time, I really want some feedback on my work.

     So, is writerscafe a trustworthy community? And, if I did have a problem with plagiarism, can I contact the moderators somehow? Will they even respond to the situation? I would also like to know if there is some way to allow for only friends on this site to view my writing. Thank you!

This site is very trustworthy. It's that dang Quizilla that has all the plagarism.

Well, there are some things you should know about posting writing on websites. When you post your writing on a website such as this, the post date is your timestamp. If anyone were to steal your work and make money off of it or just claim it as their own, the timestamp acts as proof that your post was the first ever. If it goes as far as someone making a lot of money and you want to sue, know that this timestamp acts as proof and it should be a pretty quick settlement with you as the victor.

A good way to catch people stealing works is to google random lines throughout your work. I do this at least once a week, it will let you know if anyone has taken your work. As for the mods on this site being able to do anything, it wouldn't be their problem unless someone stole it and then posted it here which would be the dumbest thing they could ever do. If it is being posted on another website you will have to get in touch with the mods of that site, and if you see them in a book(god forbid it goes that far) you would have to contact the publisher.
