Being able to comment on reviews

Posted 2 Years Ago

Dear WritersCafe,

It would be very nice to be able to comment on peoples reviews, appreciatively or in a manner to continue the discussion if there are points to be pondered within the same page as the review.  without sending a separate message.  I'm not sure if anyone would be interested or if it is possible, but I would be interested in seeing something along those lines. :) Thank you.  I hope this was the correct place for this suggestion.

Sincerely,
Judy

Yeah, it would be great to be able to post comments on reviews.  Unfortunately, Charlie doesn't ever see our suggestions - has pretty much abandoned the site - and so it'll never happen.

I agree.
If I receive any reviews I just create one new message to respond to them and edit it with new reviews and such.
I personally DM the person to thank them for the review, just in case they do not see my post on the review area.

There does need to be a way to thank people for commenting on your writings,
I am a very police and thank full person.

That would be a very nice addition to this site. I usually try to comment on a work of someone else if they review my stuff, but it would also be a nice addition to say thank you right where they reviewed from.

You can find the public registration information for WritersCafe, including Charlie's gmail address on this page on the Network Solutions site. This information also (at present) gives his home address (please don't use that), but surely there would be no harm in sending Mr. Konsor a friendly e-mail offering a few constructive suggestions? Not the least of which would be to get his address off of that listing? I wonder if he even knows that he's giving that out?

I just sent him a message about that.

His Google profile, which includes a link to WritersCafe (same Charles Konsor), links to the homepage of a Charles Konsor living in Portland, working in web development, which is where Network Solutions puts him, confirming that this is the same Mr. Konsor. That site includes a page with a contact form, so if you don't want to send something to his gmail box, one has that as an alternative.

Hope this helps.

Now, what are the odds of that last post being read any time before next autumn, I wonder?

Quite small, quite small. Good idea, by the way, if it is not already added to this site.

Just joined and that was my first thought - where is the reply button for reviews?

You can't reply to reviews.  Your options are to post your own "review" on your writing (not the best choice) to respond to what a reviewer has said, or to send the person a message privately.
