Forum Suggestions Reading writings

I would like to have available an option where I can have my favorite writers linked in case they are not in my friends list (similar to favorites in myspace) also I would tend to read from my favorite writers newest releases easier if there was an option where I could be told thier page was updated... it doesn't have to be like blogs on myspace where its all noted in subcriptions, but perhaps just an email that says page updated (for those you sign up to).

If you have these options and I haven't noticed my apologies since I am new here :)
