What kinds of things inspire you?  Places, music, people?  For me, the thoughts of Autumn, the leaves, rivers, sidewalk cafes...

Life: My experiences, what i see, what I feel, my dreams, little things I notice, etc. I can sometimes get inspired by the most random things.

I have to agree with both of you...Autumn happens to be my most preferred season; mainly because of the colours the season brings. Music, conversations, people, a walk in the park, a special person - these and many more things have inspired some pretty strong stuff to come from my pen.

 

Whatever your inspiration, if you feel it, write it,

Oh wow, Kate!  That's the only way I CAN write.  I like you already!  It's the same with music & songs.  If I can't "feel" what I'm singing it's not worth opening my mouth for it.  I gotta friend you.  :)  I have a feeling we're going to be sparking inspiration for each other.

My inspiration comes mostly from people that I have met.   I've been blessed with a large family and met many people in my 47 years.   Never great at holding a job more than 5 years leads to meeting new people.   Not something I recommened unless you have other financial means.   I didn't. lol.   When I write these people become the characters and I can just see how they would react to the situations I put them in.
