I'll start. Each person write a couple of sentences to the story.

 

 

The castle was high on the cliff. The sky was dark and dreary and that is where I had to go. I was reluctant to go, but I had no choice.

I set out on my perilous journey up the rocky cliffs to free my love. She's been gone from my life for far too long now, and I need her warmth, her strength and her love to set me free.

I mounted the hill and started to climb.  My desire to find my love pushed me on with an everlasting intensity.

I needed to see those beautiful eyes and uplifting smile. I trudged further up, wiping the sweat from my brow.

"I may have not been an elite warrior in ... the barren land's stronghold, but I will hold my own in my character, " Haskon muttered as he retained his breath in wisps while the cliff face betrayed its steepness.

[Tsk tsk, starfish. Back to first-person we go]

"Will you seriously f**k off, Gargamel?" I spat at my annoying and somewhat-obese companion behind me. "Your incessant bitching is going to wake up the orcs or whatever happens in this bizarre fictional world." 
I shook my head and picked up the pace. I can't let him distract me like this.

Gargamel made a choked sound behind me, I couldn't tell if it was laugh, a stiffed cry or a groan, the wind blurred it the same way a radio station flickers out of tune. I look up. Half way there, more concerning however was the darkening sky.
