California College Of The Arts (CCA) Forum Mentorships - Go get a 2nd one..

   Thanks for joining the site and beginning to post work. Tell your other 1st year friends too.

   I wanted to spread the word about an email Teresa sent yesterday about getting a 2nd Mentored Study. In my humble opinion, Mentorships are pretty much the best deal going at CCA. One of the things that sets it apart from other MFA programs. You get serious, personal attention from working writers who are carefully reading your work and responding to it one-on-one on a regular basis. All these benefits, without having to workshop other peoples' work as part of the deal (reading other student work is a great thing, but the mentorship is hard to beat).

   In any case, I just wanted to put my two cents in: if you are maybe, sorta looking for a 2nd mentorship -- even a "reading" mentorship where you can create your own little reading list -- sign up for one of these open ones ASAP. Talk to teresa about it and I'm sure she can help you work out something flexible.
