Fantasy and Science Fiction Discussion Forum Favourite Fantasy Writers

My favourite writers in the fantasy genre are H. P. Lovecraft and Clark Ashton Smith. Both of these talents left a magnificent legacy of stories and poems. Even so, not too many people know that H. P. Lovecraft wrote three novels, in addition to his many other writings. These titles are, "The Case of Charles Dexter Ward, "At the Mountains of Madness" and "The Dream-Quest of Unknown Kadath".

What do fellow group members think of these two writers? Who are your personal favourites?

My favorite fantasy authors would have to be Paul Stewart and Chris Riddel, who wrote the Edge Chronicles. Fantastic series, but has a kinda off-kilter sense of logic to it. Also C S Lewis with the Chronicles of Narnia, what with the talking lion and the centaurs and all. Love it! your friendly neighborhood weirdo, winkin
