Fountains Of Knowledge Forum The Cold War.

For a book I am writing I was trying to find some good references for the cold war.  I am looking for how it affected the world and the attitude of the people.  

This is the main internet source my history teacher gave me for revision. He also had a list of books about the Cold War, which I should probably try and find. When I've got it, I'll post it here too.
It's important to remember that the Communist bloc perceived the war very differently from the West. If you're setting your story in the USSR or the PRC, then you're gonna need to do a lot of really in depth research. If you're setting it in the States, then your best shot would be interviewing people who were alive at the time, there's so many around it should be easy.
