Poetry In Form (PIF)

Description

'Forms' in respect to poetry refers to the rules or rather, suggestions to make the poems look more beautiful, sad, funny and make convey lots of emotions more perfectly.

These 'forms' were created by our ancestors/poets. Forms really have a deep meaning and reflect, if properly handled.

Some of the popular forms of poetry are Sonnets, Acrostic, Haiku, Tanka, Ballade etc.,

The rules may describe such aspects as the rhythm or meter of the poem, its rhyme scheme, or its use of 'figure of speeches' such as alliteration, oxymoron and irony.

Poetry in form always carries some magic in it.

Guide for submission of your poems /

Poems written based on a 'form' (Certain rhyme schemes, Meter, prominent usage of figure of speeches) are only welcome here.

Here's a list of all poetic forms (And other poetic terms) :

Submit your poem if it has the traits of at least one of the forms mentioned above.

Forms created by the writer himself is also welcome. But, it must be far too intriguing and not just a random change in the rhyme scheme or syllable count.

Come, let's show the elegance and power of PIF.
