Serious Screenwriter's Group Forum (Scream)writing

What got you into (daring enough) to write screen plays?
 For me I did it on a dare and got hooked, not to mention seeing so many (what I would call flops)  make it big on the silver screen.

For me it would be having too many idea's in my head and not having good enough English to write a novel. That and how fascinated I am in the whole moves industry!

I got tired of watching crappy movies lol

A combination of the reason given above. I've seen too many screenplays with lazy scripts. I also do not have the skills to write a full length novel. I found screenplays an easier halfway house to express my ideas with the limited skills I have. Through writing I discovered I have a very visual imagination that seems best suited to this medium.
