Alienation

Its his alternative reality created by his overactive mind,
the kind of world where he would rather be.
Where love and loyalty arent hard to find.
To know of it creates a double bind; in actuality it cant exist.,
reality and dreams are too intertwined
He knows the truth but his mind will insist
that if tries he can break through the mist
He must try he is compelled to persist.
He knows the truth but his mind will insist
A delusion that will keep him confined
His doctors keep him safely locked away
is this the price that he should have to pay?
For refusing to accept our reality
Is it just to confine him permanently?
