Spring Valley Writers Workshop Associates (San Diego 91977) is looking for new members for our long running (30+ years) read and critique collective. Potential members should be writers committed to getting their fiction published who have the ability handle criticism and provide meaningful constructive feedback. The format of the group is moderated read and critique, and the group is moderated by Yvonne Nelson Perry and Will Greenway. The group meets on alternate Saturdays from 9am to 1pm (location No fees of any kind are charged for this group, your fee is your contribution i.e. bringing material and caring enough support and follow the projects of the other writers. Interested parties should send an inquiry to wcgrnway (at) cox (dot) com, with a small sample (2 or 3 pages) of their work. This is NOT a group for people still building rudimentary skills. Our focus is fiction, and all genres are accepted.

About Spring Valley Writers Workshop Associates:
The group was initially started by Joan Oppenheimer in the late 70s (then known as the Oppenheimer Writers Workshop Associates). Many of the members of this group have gone on to publish. From this group's ranks have come several workshop leaders who lead seminars at such conferences as Santa Barbara, Asilomar, and Idyllwild. The current line up of the group consists of 8 members all with over 20+ years of experience. The moderators, Yvonne Nelson Perry and Will Greenway have been writing and publishing for more than thirty years. The group is about writing, and supporting writers, and breaking into print. In addition to structured constructive read and critique, the group shares leads and publishing/editing tips.
