About Spring Valley Writers Workshop Associates:
The group was initially started by Joan Oppenheimer in the late 70s (then known as the Oppenheimer Writers Workshop Associates). Many of the members of this group have gone on to publish. From this group's ranks have come several workshop leaders who lead seminars at such conferences as Santa Barbara, Asilomar, and Idyllwild. The current line up of the group consists of 8 members all with over 20+ years of experience. The moderators, Yvonne Nelson Perry and Will Greenway have been writing and publishing for more than thirty years. The group is about writing, and supporting writers, and breaking into print. In addition to structured constructive read and critique, the group shares leads and publishing/editing tips.
