The rag and bone shop a young girl dies and a specialist is brought in to solve the case and the prime suspect is totally innocent. over the course of this book said innocent is mentally tortured to the breaking point by the specialist who is world weary and jaded. (warning very sad)

most of Philip Palmer's books if you like your science fiction weird and grimly humorous.

Lonely werewolf girl this book is great and weird though very long. werewolf and opium addict kalax is on the run from her family after killing her father. her sister the wizard/were/fashion designer gets involved along with some random college kids.
