Not until recently have I felt the means to think of myself as a writer; a new and amateur one, of course, but one the same.

I am 20 as of now, but have always felt different, like i do not belong in my age group because my values and goals have always been a step ahead of everyone else... I'v been told many times I'm mature for my age, so although i act like a 12 year old at my most comfortable moments, i can confidently say I have the thoughts and responsibilities of 25 year old.

Currently I am working full time at the Children's and Family Services department, and because sitting in front of the computer doing routine work isn't my natural forte, I often find my mind to wander and this is where writing started to come along into my life.

I'll admit I despised writing poems a year ago, but that all changed a couple of months ago after my loving grandpa found himself in the hospital for the very first time and passed away a month after.. and introverted as I am, I opt to lock myself in my room and write my thoughts down than to grieve with the rest of my family, which is why everything I have written so far is inspired by the man who is no longer with me.

Truthfully and unfortunately, I have learned more from him and come to realization of what is truly important in this world after he left..
