About Me

I use to have an account here and forgot all about it...but anyway, I survived Hurricane Katrina, am writing a book or story about my experience, I love to read, write, watch movies and love music. Ask me anything else and I'll try to answer it. And yes, I am very married and have a teenage son who is working on his own comic book story. I have written since I was in the 6th grade and I am now in my 40's. I've a couple of my poems published but only in books that want to showcase and I didn't really get any recognition per se. I want to finish my book and start sending it out before this year is up. I am not a fake person, I tell it like it is and I tell the truth...if you don't want honesty then don't ask me to tell you 'the truth'. I have a sly sense of humor and can be a bit 'cheeky'. I look forward to writing on this site again and the online fun and friendship from fellow writers.

The man that is pictured with me here, is my husband. Yes I am married to a much younger man. He's been my hero for over two years now. He took myself and my teenage son into his home when Katrina washed ashore. I loved him then and I love him even more now. He asked me to marry him on April 1, 2006.
On April 1, 2007 we were married in a medieval themed wedding which my family and our friends helped pay for.
It was magical!
Though it's been tough for us financially, and with us having to live with family until just before Christmas, due to the scarcity of affordable housing, we made it through.
God has someone for everyone.
I waited for many years to find the one that was perfectly fitting to my 'list' of qualifications.
He and I joke that God was waiting for him to become of legal age before we met. Although we only have 15 years difference, it seems as if we've been high school sweethearts.
This I know, when I was a little girl I use to play house with my cousins we had names for our 'pretend' husbands...and one day years later as I I recollected this to my husband, that my 'pretend' husband was named; David
I laughed when I remembered this because I spoke my relationship into being.....My husband's name is DAVID and he's no pretend husband any more, he's very much a reality.

THANK YOU GOD!!!

Thanks for the review.

The story was actually based loosely on the queen song "'39," one of my favorites.

Regardless, I'm happy that you found the story interesting. I was thinking of rewriting it from the start to make it flow more chronologically. I'm worried it's hard to follow as is.
