About Me

Underemployed Mathematician with an interest in Improvisational Theater, both as an activity in its own right, and as a source of material for scripted work.

Will be meeting in Chicago. The idea is that I and a few collaborators, if any can be found, will take a book of Improv games and have fun. More Del Close than Second City.

If this happens, for reasons of our nonexistent finances, these meetings will have to take place outdoors, where we don't have to pay a rental fee. This limits us to the warm season, which is very brief in Chicago, but it also gets us outdoors, where we can meet the people we'll probably be leaving greatly bewildered.

So, there will be more plays (most of the one acts) than stories on this page. Probably.

Note: I am based out of Chicago, located on the near north side, fairly close to the Lake. We (if there ever is a we) will always be meeting within no more than somewhat reasonable walking distance away from the nearest El stop, in neighborhoods that you shouldn't have to worry about being in late, too much.

Please keep in mind that because of our low budget (measurable in pennies) and the high cost of floor space in Chicago, that we're going to have to meet outdoors for any sort of performance or rehearsal. While this can be a pleasant thought during the warm weather, this does limit us to the warm weather, or at least the mild weather, and Chicago has relatively little of each.

So, if I post something, and you're interested in participating, don't dawdle. We're probably done for the year by September, certainly no later than October, and not up and running again until May at the earliest. That's a long time to wait to play.

Add it to a long list of reasons why I want to move out of the Midwest.
