Born in London, grew up in Ireland and have been living in Texas for the last 3 years.

One of my earliest memories is finding book of Disney fairy tales that my brother had rejected as being too girly, and the frustration of not being able to decipher the words that went with the beautiful illustrations. Somehow I learned to read and settled down to read and reread that book.

The only subjects I enjoyed at school were English, HIstory and Art. The rest I ignored which made my future working life limited. I always thought each job was a prelude to the start of my writing career.

I am over 40 now, haven't written my novel, though have had a few glorious attempts. In the mean time I am grafting away at the tools necessary and actually getting my butt in the chair.
