Additional Information
GUIDELINES SUBMISSIONS TO THE JOURNAL General Guidelines: We do not accept previously published work. We do accept simultaneous submissions, but ask that you let us know immediately if your submission is accepted elsewhere. We may take up to three months to respond to submissions, although we try to respond to review submissions within a week. Guidelines for Reviews: We read review submissions all year long. In an effort to support contributors to our journal, we try to give priority to reviews of their books. We are also interested in reviews of books located within the larger circles of communities surrounding our contributors: books published by our contributors' presses, and books published by the presses who publish our contributors, etc. That said, however, we are always happy to look at a well-written review of any book even remotely in line with the type of work we publish in TSky. Send a brief cover letter and your previously unpublished review to [email protected] Guidelines for Poetry, Prose, & Cross-/Trans-genre Work: We are currently reading for Tarpaulin Sky's first print issue, which will be published (simultaneously with web-only content as well as web-samples from the print edition) in Fall/Winter 2007. The submission period will close March 15, 2007. Include a brief cover letter in the body of the emailwe really appreciate knowing a little about your life, your writing, and where we might read more of your work. Bundle 4-6 poems or short prose pieces into one file; do not send multiple attachments. Please limit longer work to a single submission of 3000 words or less. Email your submission to [email protected] In order to avoid the spam filters, it is important that your subject header contains the word "submission," followed by your name. Submissions that do not follow this format run the risk of being accidentally deleted. Please note: due to the number of submissions we receive, we have instituted what might be termed a fair trade policy: if it is painfully clear that you have spent no time reading our journal, then we will not spend our time replying to your submission. SUBMISSIONS TO THE PRESS Contributors to the journal (i.e., writers whose work has appeared in the journal or has been accepted for publication) may submit chapbook or full-length manuscripts at any time. We also accept chapbook and full-length manuscripts from writers whose work has not appeared in the journal, but we ask for a $10 (chapbook) or $20 (full-length) reading fee in the form of a check or money order made payable to Tarpaulin Sky Press. Please mail manuscripts to Editors Tarpaulin Sky Press PO Box 190 Saxtons River, VT 05154 QUESTIONS / COMMENTS We welcome your questions and comments sent to [email protected] (In order to avoid the spam filters, please be sure to include "Attn: Editors" in the subject line).
