About Me

I'm Kaite!

I'm 17.

I'm a fun and crazy person to be around.

My favorite things consist of roses, the Jersey Shore, school dances, and Reese's Peanut Butter Cups.

I find absolute beauty in the most ordinary objects imaginable. To me, all of the world is enthralling, and immensely beautiful.

I don't love easily, but when I do I love too much.

I dance.

I paint.

Playing the piano is my passion.

I'm particularly obsessed. I'm intense about it, and I obsess over being the best I can at playing, because I don't believe I've ever felt such a love for anything like I have for the piano. I wish I had the time or energy to play as often as I used to, but the truth is? I never thought that something I adore so much would ever become so difficult to make time for.

Currently working on: Frédéric Chopin's Revolutionary Etude. ♥

Here's the thing:
If you are a feminist, liberal, democrat, or one who is highly educated in current events, chances are my knowledge and political views will make your blood boil to the point of explosion.

I believe that chivalry is dead because women killed it. I will do anything in my power to NOT be such a woman.

I currently reside in New York, but I'm a true Southern gal at heart.

I'm graduating high school in a year and after I do so, I'm moving permanently back down south, aka the place I truly belong. I one day hope to become an English and Spanish teacher.

I am 5'8", but I still wear high heels just about every day.

If I see anything remotely elegant or old-fashioned, chances are, I will fall madly in love with it.

I am probably one of the most old-fashioned people you will meet, especially for my age.

Which is why when I have the time (which, unfortunately isn't much), I thoroughly enjoy reading classic literature. I think I truly belong in that time period. :)

Sometimes, words speak louder than actions, so speak them to me.

I have an insane addiction for writing in my journal every night. And when I say insane, I mean it - it literally is insane.

I'm preoccupied with my grades.

I dress up every day. Mention anything about "Macy's" and I'll be your best friend. :)

I'm wicked competitive, just take my word for it.

I'm extremely intense about anything and everything, and will push myself and others to the limit.

Nothing is more important to me than my family. My cousins are the siblings that I've never had. I'm extremely close to them and love them all so much. ♥

William Shakespeare is my hero.
If he or Frédéric Chopin were alive, I would marry them in a New York minute.

I'm IN LOVE with roller coasters, yet am COMPLETELY petrified of spiders.

I can tie a cherry stem into a knot with my tongue. I've done it three times.

Try and argue with me. Who knows if I'll win, but I'll never back down.

Get to know me, I'm a great friend. :)

~ Think Positive ~
If you want to get somewhere, you have to know where you want to go and how to get there. Then never, never, never give up.

The secret of life isn't what happens to you, but what you do with what happens to you.

Help other people to cope with their problems and your own will be easier to cope with.

Never use the word impossible seriously again. Toss it into the verbal wastebasket.

Self-trust is the first secret of success. So believe in and trust yourself.

Stand up to your obstacles and do something about them. You will find that they haven't half the strength you think they have.

Joy increases as you give it, and diminishes as you try to keep it for yourself. In giving it, you will accumulate a deposit of joy greater than you ever believed possible.

How you think about a problem is more important than the problem itself - so always think positively.

Go at life with abandon; give it all you've got. And life will give all it has to you.

Norman Vincent Peale
