Writing is my way of saying things that I otherwise wouldn't be able to say. Does that sound contradictory? Well, I am. I write about the things that matter most to me since, well, I am the one writing them. Some recurring themes include the supernatural, magic and fantasy, travel, gay relationships and love gone wrong, depression and introspection, astronomy and nature, plus a few others interspersed here and there.

I tend to find myself influenced more by music than by other writers. I am currrently obsessed with Kristin Hersh, Heather Dale, KaTe Bush, Patrick Wolf, Steeleye Span, Stevie Nicks, Loreena McKennitt, Tori Amos and others. Poets whom I really enjoy are Shakespeare (duh), Yeats, Joy Harjo, Sharon Olds, Henry Rollins (not just because he's hot), Patti Smith and Anne Sexton. I find quite a few inspirations straight out of Tolkein, as well as British and Celtic mythology and folktales.

These writings are basically me, underneath all of my bullshit. Sometimes angry, sometimes eccentric, joyful, pensive, blunt, heretical, awe-struck, but always honest.

Sometimes I tend to spontaneously 'Friend' people whose writing I particularly enjoy.
