It really is the hardest part, being useless. But even sending a card to those you can't get to, or a phone call, can really lighten their mood.

My two grandfather's, my grandmother, and my uncle have died from cancer - my uncle way too young. And now it's resurfaced in my close family. Well, it surfaced five years ago but it's still upsetting.

I know the feeling. I'm sure your aunt understands that you want to be there, but you can't. She knows you care and wishes that she could make it go away - for herself and her family. It's not fun for either party when cancer is around.
It all gets better at some point. You just have to go over the speed bumps and hold on tight. (=
