Tyka [curiosity, Creativity, Perspective]

My name is Tyka
I'm 16
I mostly like to write poems, but I do often try my hand at short stories.
I've noticed up to date my writing seems to be lacking my voice, as if I'm so concerned with writing something good it becomes impersonal and therefore flat and meaningless. I intend to work on this.
I haven't written in a while and I think I'm going to start back up soon, because I'm lagging.
I really enjoy doing school work ( sometimes atleast) I love it because I learn new things and depending on the subject (like sociology for example) I'll try my best on everything.
Slacker is what I am even though most don't see it, I hide my flaws well.
I haven't been on here in lord knows how long but I'll try to update more often instead of leaving everything frozen in time.
I'm really trying to work on my grammar and spelling (i like to think that I'm doing pretty good)
It is also my goal to expand my vocabulary because I have a knack for using the same words, over and over again.
So, this writer-in-training is going to leave it at that.
