About Me
Love to draw and cook from time to time, when I'm not drawing I’ll write poems. My favorite poet is Edgar Allen Poe. Now back in the day there was a time when I wanted to see the world, so I settled for second best, the USA. I didn’t get far without money so I hop trains from town to town Where ever I laid my hat for the night was my home. It was an adventure and sometimes a job. I met people of all walks of life and lived life in its fullest. My experience has help me see the world under a Different light which I now apply to my poems some say did I go to school just to eat lunch because my grammar is bad well,” yes and no.” Yes I went to school but not just eat lunch but to get away from home, later I drop out after that went for a G.E.D. Later in years I decided for a change of venue So I enrolled in Art Instituted of California.
Well that venture was short live by my second Quarter I was suspended from school for being homeless; I couldn’t pay the rent where I lived so it was back on the road.
The one thing that went with me from school was the desire to write, I wrote (Cross Road) before hoping the train because you meet people as you go down the line and later run into the same people in a different town. I had meet this one brother who had help me with some things for the ride, when I thank him he said “ don’t thank me help the next man down the line and that will be thanks enough” that’s just the way it was. My riding days were short lived when I met this girl and all things were put on the back burner no more writing, drawing or any thing else but love morning, noon and night. For five years, I had a 9 to 5 J..O..B.. went to work came home drank beer watch TV and went to sleep, it was fun while it lasted but all good thing come to an end. so we parted are ways and made peace and for me it was back on the road again. Now this time around it became a cold dish that was hard to swallow, with only the clothes on my back and public transportation I went from town to town until I settled the dust here in Petaluma Ca.
I started a soul searching inventory; a crash coarse adventure that you’d think demolition derby was running through my head so to clear space I had to write something, and that’s when I wrote” Without World Within” I shared the my piece with some of my friends who
Suggested I submit the poem in contest, after a few hits and misses I found the writer café’ which I’m glad to be a part of this community of wonderful writers where I continue to learn and grow. When I write I try not to go astray with the content of my write in order to relay the massage I wish to display sometimes that’s hard to do on the account that poetry is open to interpretation on how the reader perceives it. When I review your work I will try to in the best of my ability to add something positive as I perceive it, If for some reason I misread your write please forgive me it was not my intention. This is all new to me so bare with me as I grow and learn. For now;
That’s all folks.
